Welcome to a new academic year at the School of Dance!

As we step into 2025–26, I invite all of us to reflect on our shared accomplishments and recommit to the
creative, educational, and community-centered mission that defines our school.
Last year, we operated under the themes of Passion, Commitment, and Opportunity—and your work
brought those words to life through impactful performances, academic excellence, and wide-reaching
engagement.

This year, we continue that momentum with three guiding actions: Create. Engage. Succeed.
These themes reflect our investment in the future of dance—on and off our stages. Together, we will build
on what we’ve achieved while aligning with the University’s strategic goals: supporting student success,
achieving artistic excellence, engaging community, and strengthening operational clarity in service to the
land-grant mission.

Our commitment extends beyond the studio. From updated courses, streamlined operations, and enhanced
programming–to growing community partnerships with national and international recognition for our
students and faculty—we are shaping a dance program that is as visionary as it is successful.

The University of Arizona School of Dance is redefining the landscape for Dance education. We integrate
innovative pedagogy, intensive learning experiences, interdisciplinary methods, diverse technical training,
and next-generation technology to shape a new era of dance. We are committed to cultivating visionary
