What I've Been Up To

After leaving college I went on to dance for River North Chicago Dance Company, Hubbard Street 2, and BodyTraffic Dance Company. After being in the concert world for a few years I decided to try the commercial dance scene. I went on to Dance for Celine Dion's Show in Las Vegas, did a world tour with her for a year and a half where I was a dance captain. After the tour was over I moved back and forth from LA to Las Vegas and performed with Shania Twain in her residency at Caesars Palace, joined a Cirque Du Soleil show, performed with Donny and Marie Osmond, danced on SYTYCD, America's Got Talent, and Dancing with the Stars with Leona Lewis. I performed a number from West Side Story for Mr. and Mrs. Obama at The Kennedy Honors Awards Show where we did a tribute to Rita Moreno, I performed on Mrs. America and Mrs. Universe pageant, danced in two movies "Ted 2" and "Behind the Candelabra," and I danced with Taylor Swift on the VMA'S Award show.

How UA Dance inspired and/or impacted me as an individual

The UA Dance department changed my life. They offered me a four-year scholarship to attend the program after taking a jazz class in high school for fun. They saw something in me when I didn't believe I was good enough. I didn't start doing Ballet, Modern or Jazz until I attended college. All the faculty took me under their wings and molded me to be ready to audition once I left the program. I will forever be thankful to all my teachers (which I am lucky enough to call friends now) at UofA. If it wasn't for them I would not have had this career that I did. Coming back to UofA to teach is probably the biggest highlight of my life. To come back from time to time and mentor students in the same place I started my training is pretty special for me.
