Tucson, Arizona ˗ Let our students lift your spirits as we present an evening of choreography that is newly produced just for this moment by our undergraduate and graduate dancers.

Twelve unique pieces will be featured representing diverse artistic voices and styles.

The program opener, King, choreographed by Natalie Clevenger for eight men and one woman is a nod to Martha Graham technique, employed here, to reimagine traditionally feminine and masculine qualities in the art form. Nicole Hennington’s contemporary ballet entitled, Water from the Same Source, explores the idea of parallel journeys rooted in the same origin, but differentiated by individual choices along the way. The evening closer, Squabble, a light-hearted piece for seven dancers created by Haley Johnson to the poppy Electric Light Orchestra’s “Mr. Blue Sky” captures the futility of argument.

Here the faculty step aside and cheer with you as dancers step into the spotlight.
