Sasha Reist’s most meaningful project to date is the short documentary Changement, which explores traditional gender roles in ballet and their impact on LGBTQ+ dancers. Created during her junior year at the University of Arizona, the film gained critical acclaim, screening at festivals such as SXSW and earning multiple nominations. Sasha’s work reflects her passion for merging dance and film to tell compelling queer stories, advocating for inclusivity within the arts. She is now developing a longer adaptation of Changement to continue these important conversations.
